The Catch a Special Thrill for Kids Keith Combs Sam Rayburn Slam presented by Texas Farm Bureau Insurance Company and sponsored by Lew’s Fishing and Flambeau Outdoors, will be held on Saturday, October 1st.

Organizers say the location of the event will be revealed to children only after they sign up.

According to organizers, up to 40 kids ages 6-19 with special needs (foster care, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, psychological disabilities) will get to participate, and each child will receive a hat, tackle box, shirt, fishing pole, picture, and a plaque.

Organizers say kids will get to enjoy 2-3 hours of fishing, and lunch will be provided followed by an awards ceremony.
