Bank Robber Strikes Montgomery; Bandit Still At Large | Montgomery, IL Patch

MONTGOMERY, IL — Police and the FBI are searching for the bandit who robbed the Bank of Montgomery on Thursday afternoon.

Police said that at around 4:30 p.m., a male suspect walked into the bank in the 1300 block of Douglas Road and gave a note to the teller. He did not display a weapon or imply he had one, according to police.

He left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) responded to the scene and will lead the ongoing investigation, police said. The Montgomery Police Department and the FBI are asking anyone who may have information related to this incident to contact the Montgomery Police Department’s Det. Sgt. The FBI said the suspect is believed to be between the ages of 20 and 30 and is about 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark-colored baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses, light-colored facemask, black leather gloves, dark-colored pants and light colored shoes.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading directly to the arrest and conviction of the bandit.
