São Paulo (KROC AM News)-At least two Minnesota people recently fell ill after eating spinach linked to a multi-state E. coli outbreak.

The Minnesota Department of Health stated that both were in their 20s and fell ill between October 17 and October 23.

Someone has eaten organic baby spinach from Josie's Organics purchased from the HyVee store. Another person ate fresh thyme organic baby spinach purchased from a fresh thyme store. MDH stated that both brands are produced by Braga Fresh. Josie's coat was checked and tested positive for E. coli.

As of Monday, Minnesota, Iowa and five other states have confirmed ten cases.

Currently, Minnesota health officials warn consumers not to consume Josie's Organics organic baby spinach and fresh thyme organic baby spinach with the best shelf life on or around October 23, 2021, and throw them out if they have them in their refrigerators. State and federal partners are investigating to determine the extent of the contamination; this investigation may expand the warning to include more production dates.
