Fisherman Risks Life & Fights A Crocodile

A parent's love can not be compared to anything. This father took the love for his son a little too far after he fought off a four-metre-long crocodile only to get his son's hat back.

The entire battle between the fisherman dad and the crocodile was captured on camera.  It all started when the four-metre-long beast was looking to grab a barramundi fish for lunch.

The gigantic crocodile found the fish on the end of a fishing line in the waters of Chaills Crossing in Kakadu, Australia. However, instead of letting the crocodile eat the fish which most people would have done, the man started reeling the fish in. This, naturally, angered the crocodile.

This fisherman, Scott Roscarel, refused to let go, dragged the fish and the crocodile onto nearby concrete and ended up jumping backwards when he realised he has taken a massive risk.

However, when Scott jumped back, he accidentally kicks his son's hat close to the four-metre monster. What followed next, took everyone by surprise.

In the video, a person can be heard screaming "let him have it," referring, presumably, to the fish rather than the hat. Thankfully, the crocodile retreated back into the water, leaving both the fish and the kid's hat.

He told local news outlets: “I had to manhandle it. “When the fish hit the edge of the crossing it jumped and the line got caught on the front of the crossing. “I had that much adrenaline, I wasn't thinking too much. I realised how close the croc was and I backed up.

“I snapped my rod in the process and got the fish in the nick of time.”

However, the son was least bothered about the hat. He told his father that he has 15 hats at home but has only one father.

After a little while, the fisherman was happy that the entire footage has been of his and his father's adventure and how he was happy that his father is safe and sound.
