The superstar English singer, Ed Sheeran , collaborates with indie apparel label Lucy & Yak on a limited-edition capsule collection adorned with butterfly motifs and designs inspired from his most recent studio album, equals.

When Ed begins his sold-out Mathematics tour in the United Kingdom, he’ll be selling an exclusive selection of organic products inspired by the artwork from his current album. Of course, the Ed Sheeran & Yak line includes a “special edition pair of dungarees” designed by the singer himself.

The items are unisex, made of organic cotton (for example, the bucket hat is constructed from recycled materials) and meant to be worn all year round from summer’s fashion to snug comfort wearing in the fall and winter, regardless of the weather.

Besides, this “exclusive capsule” is said to bring together “Ed’s affection for his fans” and Lucy & Yak’s signature designs and sustainability minded approach; the singer and his wife Cherry are concerned about the environment,” says a statement announcing the partnership. 

Exclusively for (‘Yakkers’ and ‘Sheerios’) the collection , which includes the organic LE Original Dungaree (£65), Bailey Hoodie (£58), Denver T-shirt (£28) and Travis Bucket Hat (£22), will be available from 14 July 2022.

Inviting a line-up of musicians to record their own Ed Sheeran songs to celebrate the launch, Lucy & Yak has also urged the help of customers and Ed Sheeran fans to submit their own covers for a promotional video.

A special meaning for the butterfly in Ed Sheeran’s album artwork has been conveyed by Lucy Greenwood, co-founder of Lucy & Yak : “We are honoured to be able to bring this into being as part of such a special Yak collection — particularly as we know that Ed shares our passion for doing better for the environment.” said Lucy. “To put it another way, when I first learned we were working on a collection with Ed, I couldn’t wait to put our unique Lucy & Yak stamp on it.

“A combination of Ed ‘s artwork from his Equals album and my own drawings yielded a piece that was both distinctive and appealing for both Sheerios and Yakkers,” said the lead print designer of Lucy & Yak, Elspeth Mills. 

A symbol that anybody can connect, the butterfly is a vital part of Ed Sheeran’s work since it depicts his evolution as an artist through time, which is the main reason they made it the focus of their collection.

Considering ” the sustainability of Lucy & Yak “, all of their clothings are made in North India.
