Beaver-Calvin B. Hutchings, 72, died on December 5, 2021, at his home in Beaver, Utah. He was born on July 10, 1949 in Norman and Audrey Hutchins in Cedar City, Utah. Carl grew up in Beaver, Utah and graduated from Beaver High School. He later studied at Sevier Valley Tech in Richfield, Utah.

Anyone who knows Karl knows how much he likes owning horses and working with them. He can see him wearing shoes, riding a horse and taking care of the many horses he has owned over the years at any time of the day. Calvin spent countless hours in the mountains with his children, grandchildren, father, friends and family. He likes camping, hunting, horse riding and drinking a good cup of coffee. He is an excellent mechanic. He always has a truck being repaired. Whether it is his children, grandchildren or friends, he is happy to help. Cal likes to work with his hands and spends countless hours on projects around his home, woodworking projects, and building things out of old barn wood. He worked in Carpenters Union, Local 1977 for 40 years. In addition to other carpentry jobs, he also builds power plants across the state, including his family home in Aurora, Utah. Cal also worked in Las Vegas for 20 years, where he spent 20 years building casinos such as MGM, Rio and Mirage. Cal likes his cowboy hats and boots, and always wears the best western outfits. Carl lived his life day by day. He is proud and grateful for his 29 years old. Sober. His children, grandchildren and many close friends love him. We will miss your "old boy".

His children Brett Hutchings (Ronda) of Beaver, Callie Murray (Chad Tremaine) of North Ogden, Shaun Hutchings of Cedar City, and Cody Hutchings of Beaver have survived. Siblings: sister Hazel Bradshaw and brother Lyle Hutchings. He also has 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

His parents Norman and Audrey Hutchins died before him. Brother Richard Hutchins; brother Russell Hutchins.

The funeral will be held in the Southern Utah Mortuary (195 North 200 West Beaver, Utah) on Friday, December 10, 2021 at 11 AM.
