'Octomom' Nadya Suleman was spotted out in public for the first time in nearly two years as she stepped out with her children wearing a wide-brimmed hat with a face shield and gloves — her go-to look for sun protection.

The 46-year-old, who shot to fame after giving birth to octuplets through IVF over a decade ago, was covered in fabric from head to toe as she took six of her 14 kids to a local park on Friday in Laguna Niguel, their hometown in Orange County, California.

Suleman shielded herself from the blazing sun by wearing a sun hat that covered her head and the bottom half of her face, sunglasses, a sweatshirt, baggy black pants, and black fingerless gloves.

While she went to great lengths to cover her skin, her kids were dressed casually in T-shirts and sweats. Most of them didn't even have shoes on.

Three of Suleman's children were wearing just socks to walk on the paved trail while one of her sons was barefoot. Unlike their mom, none of them had on masks for the outdoor stroll.

The family outing comes just days before her octuplets — Noah, Jonah, Josiah Makai, Nariyah, Maliyah, Jeremiah, and Isaiah — celebrate their milestone 13th birthday on January 26.

The mom also has six older children: Elijah, 20, Amerah, 19, Joshua, 17, Aiden, 16, and twins Calyssa and Caleb, 14. As a single parent, she is raising all 14 children on her own, including her son Aidan, who is severely autistic.

Suleman has been wearing her beloved sun hat and gloves outside for years to protect her skin, a decision she opened up about on Instagram last summer.

The mom shared a photo of her son Noah in a similar getup, revealing he is the only one of her children who wears one.

'As you can probably discern, I have a proclivity for sun protection,' she wrote. 'It is vital to care for and protect our skin, the largest bodily organ, particularly living in sunny (and windy) Southern California. The sun, as good as it may feel, is not good for us.'

Suleman, who is a vegan, insisted that healthy foods such as dark leafy greens and supplements are 'more than sufficient' sources of vitamin D, saying all of their levels are 'within normal range.'

'The sun is responsible for 90% of all skin damage, premature aging, and melanoma (skin cancer) which is the most common cancer in my country!' added Suleman, who is Palestinian and Lithuanian. 'Cumulative sun exposure is the most significant controllable factor in skin aging.'

She explained that she wore sunscreen for decades before she discovered her sun hat, saying it is easier to put on when she is busy caring for her disabled son.

Suleman was seen taking a large water bottle out of a white van during the outing

It appeared to be a warm January day as her daughters soaked up the sun in T-shirts

Suleman ended her post with a message for her 'obviously uneducated' haters who don't agree with her vigilant sun protection.

'ALL my kids play sports in the sun, go to the beach, swim, and do not "fear" the sun whatsoever!' she hit back. 'The ONLY reason I ever go out in the sun is so my kids can be kids and have fun!

'NOT ONE of my kids is embarrassed by me wearing my sun gear; on the contrary, they know how smart it is and are proud I look so incredibly youthful,' she continued.

'Noah was having fun today in his new sun hat and is the only one of all my kids who wears one (like me) in the blazing summer sun, due to his extremely fair (got it from grandma) complexion.

'So if you ignorant haters choose to judge, ridicule, and criticize me for taking care of my skin, and educating my children on the importance of skincare, and sun protection, I feel sorry for YOUR children, and for your poor damaged skin.'

Suleman has kept out of the public eye in recent years after welcoming her octuplets following years of fertility treatments.

She began IVF treatments in 1997 when she was 21 years old and welcomed her first child, Elijah, in 2001. She gave birth to her first daughter, Amerah, a year later.

She continued IVF treatments, which resulted in three further pregnancies, including fraternal twins Calyssa and Caleb.
